Troop 1945 is a Christian based Boy Scout Troop serving The Woodlands, TX and the surrounding areas. Troop 1945 is comprised of primarily home-schooled young men and families committed to living Biblical principles. The focus of the troop is to prepare the scouts to become Christian leaders in their family and community.

History of Troop 1945

Established in 2000, we have experience beyond most other troops in mixing discipline with fun. Our boys have many opportunities to meet advancement requirements throughout meetings, campouts, and merit badge courses. Our merit badge classes are taught by professionals in the field of the badge that is being taught. Campouts once a month ensure our boys the experience they need to meet their rank requirements. Cooking, self-discipline, and overcoming fear are just a few of the things our boys learn while in the woods. When elections in the troop come around, our boys give speeches to the troop about why he should be the leader and how he will do it. Through this process, which is similar to electing a president in a high school, the boys also learn speech skills. The troop has more eagles advance than most in our area, and is proud of this accomplishment.
